Love creating, finding curiosity in nature, and realizing fun ideas!
Our group studies the transient behavior of electrons in both condensed matter and functionalized device systems and their time-dependent dynamics in various atomic or ionic environments. We develop tabletop transient extreme ultraviolet (XUV/EUV) absorption and reflection spectroscopy, which offers high element specificity and electronic selectivity for ultrafast measurements. We synergistically employ high-resolution electron microscopy and diffraction to measure correlative structural dynamics at the fundamental length and timescale.

As a team, we value
(1) Open communications among the group members, and inclusive environment where different thoughts and ideas are valued. There are no dumb questions or answers in research.
(2) Transparency is another key principle within the group, where we freely share experiences, new techniques/tools, and constructive feedback on each other's work without expecting anything in return.
(3) We are also committed to supporting each other through any challenges. If you need assistance with anything—from experiments, research, or personal well-being—we are here to help and find solutions together.
